Rhapsody's VI

The high time of my month is usually during MPR for the obvious reason of free food, and that’s exactly what brought me to Rhapsody's this fateful Sunday. Except that this time, I was sponsoring the celebration.

Rhapsody VI is very easy to locate since its off Adeola Odeku. The exterior signage is lovely and there's parking space for up to 40 cars. Since it was our first time, we couldn’t easily locate the entrance. We went into Albert first, came out, and then entered Rhapsody's. The interior decor is lovely. First thing you see is the bar to your left, fully stocked with an array of drinks for avid drinkers. One of the attendants (Romeo) walked up to us with a huge smile on his face, bowed, and asked where we'd prefer to seat (you seat according to what you want to do; drink only, drink and eat or just the vip section). We were ushered to a "drink and eat" section booth by Romeo, and he took our orders. I chose the rhapsody platter and death by chocolate. For drinks we got bottled Star and shots of patron(1600/shot).

While waiting for the food, we kept ourselves busy by ogling at a couple of girls on the other side of the room. They all had Iphone 5s and seemed like working class/ms-independent kind of ladies, so my friends and I decided that it wasn't a good idea to send drinks over (especially if we didn’t want to go home broke). Instead we decided to enjoy Rhapsody's free wifi, which is a lovely idea by the way. Who doesn’t like free stuff?

Our simple order took forever! Or maybe I was too hungry so the time went by really slow? Regardless, it did't seem like they had too many customers so I expected the food would come out faster. Anyway, the platter arrived, and I must confess, it was worth every minute of the wait. It consisted of onion rings, shrimps, fried chicken (coated in flour), and plenty ijekuje that I can't name. Plus three different dipping sauces. We couldn’t finish the food, and decided to invite a friend who lives nearby to come and eat.

I spent less than 10k in total during my visit. 5k for the main food (good value for my money considering the quality&quantity) and 4k for drinks and dessert. On our way out, one of the managers (white dude) came over to thank us for our patronage.. that for me was good customer service and appreciation.

Generally it was a lovely time, good environment, good customer service and superb food. I’m surely going there again soon with the missus *lovestruck face*.
